👉 04. HOW IMPROVE LEARNING CULTURE IN BANKING SECTOR
Strategies is the key element of the organization to reach ultimate goals. In banking sector, there are various kind of plans in every department to complete some tasks. Training and development in the one of task which should be completed in HRM department.
Most of companies has training hours should attend as a trainer or trainee. In the year end performance appraisal, senior management has to conduct some training hours and the junior members also has to complete training hours.
Following strategies are implemented to improve the learning culture in the organization.
📖Examine the current learning strategy to find learning gaps and weaknesses
First, the organization present learning culture should be review and confirm the situation is formal or informal.
This means assessing how your employees are currently learning, what they’re learning, the training materials they ‘re being provided with, etc.
Through this research will be able to find strength and weakness of the learning culture in organization.
📖Plan what you need and want your employees to learn
Some learning will be informal and not suitable. The structures should have to change. 📖 Ask employees what they want to learn
Most of employee has some areas to clear and get the exact ideas about these areas.
📖 Make training easily accessible
Employees are keen to participate trainings, the trainings are organized with seamless and friction-free as possible. When use the online methods for training, it should be easy access and effortless to login for start training.
Some training will be held as offsite training and the staffs who are working in remote area should be instated the transport facility or should be bare the cost of transport from HRM department.
📖 Create a library of resources
Most of people like to learn reading books or magazines and it is more comfortable other than waiting in front of a screen to read e-books. Therefore, HRM department can build a physical library and the employee is able to borrow these books from the library.
📖 Create competitions and rewarding system
One of the best strategy to improve learning culture in the organization. The HRM department is able to organize a competition through LMS to complete reading hours and evaluate the process within given periods and reward them considering the highest person who completed the training hours.
📖 Make it social
People like to learn with others. They like to chat about ideas, share resources, and hear different perspectives. Employees can post topics, ask questions and interact with each other to make the learning process more social.

Most of our banks train employees with on job basis. But, In my point of view these trainings from the beginning should be inclusive of legal framework such as Bills of exchange, law of cheques, law relates to Recoveries, law of entities like companies & specially law relates to agreements. Those should be compulsory to cover. Do you think that there is an exact method of assessment on the knowledge they gain from training?

First of all, the mention area is very important to everyone and the core banking theories are here and these theories very important for day to day banking.
In my opinion for your question is after every lesson we have obtain questions related to the topic to evaluate the grab knowledge from the training.
